Kahn, Our New “Home” Arrives Home

Sleep was pretty good with the air conditioning and generator running all night – the biggest problem was the 1:30AM visit from the dumpster emptying truck.

Tom and Scott awoke at 6:30AM or so – just in time for a quick “boondock” bus shower in the Cracker Barrel parking lot, then breakfast just as the Cracker Barrel opened at 7AM.

The trip back was I95 with a Key Bridge detour around Baltimore since Tom – rule follower that he is – did not want to use the tunnel due to the fact that we were carrying propane in excess of the 10 pound per container limit. Lunch was a hurried meal at the I95 Maryland House center rest area – using the inverter for the first time instead of the generator (which worked fine – our solar panels recharged the house batteries as we sat).

The view from the bridge vs the view in the tunnel is worth the 11 minutes.
Crossing the Key Bridge with Baltimore and the ‘much” shorter tunnels in the distance.
Tom happy to not be breaking the law, even with peer pressure from Scott to do so.

We went to the Glebas household and gave Marie and Emily a tour of Khan, which they enjoyed. Then Scott drove Khan back to his house where he gave a tour to Susan and his former little Anthony. Susan reacted that it was a perfect “little house.”
