What, You have to Steer this Thing?

Monday morning, and Scott’s computer withdrawal symptoms were worsening but he bravely kept up with life as well as possible.  It was cold enough that there was frost on Khan.  After an excellent pancake breakfast, Ray and Terry got a quick tour of the Speeder. Terry remarked, “Oh, I guess you don’t need a steering wheel, do you.” Scott and Tom then said goodbye to Ray and Terry and hit the road.  While Scott spent the previous two days driving without having to steer in the Speeder, Tom didn’t have that luxury in Kahn for the planned 6-1/2 hour trip home. Lunch was a 17 minute detour to J &J Smokehouse BBQ on 550 Main St in Catskill, NY, where a truly huge lunch was served which Tom and Scott ate a small portion of and brought the rest back in the refrigerator on the RV.  This was definitely worth it.

The remains of Hurricane Ian had remained south of us during the entire weekend, but Tom ended up driving through rain once we hit New Jersey.  We arrived back at the hangar around 5PM, removed our personal stuff from Khan, and drove home to our respective houses after a great weekend with the nameless Woodings railcar and Khan.
